Previous Projects

Solidarity Kitchen

During the worst period of the COVID-19 pandemic, we ran a food programme to provide nutritious meals to those in need. We delivered over 15,000 meals by foot, bike and car entirely organised by volunteers and funded by the people.

We ran a kitchen out of the Warehouse Cafe and an advanced logistics operation. This was all done following the appropriate safety procedures which meant we have zero known COVID-19 infections during our operations at a time when the government was nothing to protect the people.

Brum Mutual Aid Map

Mapping up Mutual Aid projects in Birmingham during the COVID-19 pandemic. See this page.

Co-op Cycle Birmingham

We attempted to form a new co-operative courier ad logistics service using the Co-op Cycle platform. Ultimately this wasn’t sustainable for that collective at that time.

Co-op Brum Fest

A one day festival where we put on a street party bringing together many of our collectives and projects and had a fun day of sports and hanging out in the communal gardens.

Media Co-op

This project was never seen through into existence. See this blog post for the original idea.

Since We Last Met – collective meals

Birmingham’s thrice yearly Resistance Roundup and info-swap meal.

We come together to share recent stories and honor the work of social movements here at home and around the world.

There tends to be two parts to the event, one local and one global under two main categories : HGC (Healing, Growing, Connecting), and Le Smash (successful actions against genocide, oppression, empire and ecocide.)
